Yoro Valley or Yoro Keikoku is a steep, green, rocky valley carved by the Yoro River over centuries. The valley is located in the center of the Boso Peninsula of Chiba Prefecture, between the town of Otaki and the city of Ichihara. There are many well-maintained hiking trails leading directly here from Yoro Keikoku Station.

Yoro Valley is surrounded by steep, hemlock-covered hills with a river gliding toward the Pacific Ocean. Disappearing down the end of one of the trails, you experience a natural world that can be separated from the megalopolis of Tokyo.
The fastest and shortest way to get to Yoro Keikoku is from Tokyo station and then take the Uchibo train to Goi station. Travel time takes about 50 to 60 minutes. Then transfer to the Kominato train line, which passes through the heart of Chiba's Boso Peninsula and takes in the many sights along the way until you reach Yoro Keikoku station.
There are also a number of onsen or hot spring resorts; Here you can relax in a natural hot bath after a day of climbing. You can spend the evening at some hot springs if you want or just shower and head back to Tokyo. If you have to return in a hurry, you can soak your feet in the tub at Yoro Keikoku Station before leaving.
